$1,500 Grant Opportunity:

The Boston Center for the Arts is excited to announce a new platform for Artists to engage with audience: Temporary Public Art on the Plaza. Artists are invited to submit proposals for temporary public art projects that will be exhibited on the Plaza of the Boston Center for the Arts campus for 2 – 4 week intervals throughout June and October, 2010.

Artists from the Greater Boston area and New England are invited to apply for a $1,500 grant to develop, produce, and install the public artwork. Artists are asked to work with the Boston Center for the Arts community to develop a project that engages the public in an unrestrictive and immediate way.  Proposals for a site-specific temporary artwork should reflect the Artist’s concerns and simultaneously create a dialog with the surrounding community. Non-traditional media is welcomed including video, audio, and performance.
